What dot Ed is Looking for?
Being knowledgeable in one's area of expertise, though vital, meets only half the requirements for teaching. And as dot Ed recruits young, talented individuals to be part of its distinguished crew, we keep the old saying, "not all experts can teach" in mind. What makes each of our instructors special is their talent in interpersonal skills and passion for teaching. Interacting with young minds is not among the hardest tasks in the world, but it is certainly not simple. Gauging strengths and weaknesses with full consideration of each student's personality is the cornerstone of a cooperative student-teacher relationship. Furthermore, each of our instructors train not the students to adhere to lessons through authoritarian methods, but instead adapts his knowledge of the subject into optimal modes of instruction that genuinely trigger learning, and more importantly, knowledge retention.
And the Perks?
Being a crew member of dot Ed enriches young teachers with invaluable field experience - drafting lesson plans, interacting with inquisitive parents, and balancing student discipline with creative learning. All instructors are always willing to provide assistance to one another. Should we say "no crew member left behind?" Furthermore, dot Ed offers flexible teaching schedules year-round. And did we mention our end-of-semester parties?
How Do I Apply?
For those interested, please submit your résumé and cover letter to inquiries[at]dot-ed.com. dot Ed will not consider incomplete, generic applications.
